Director of the FSIN promised to get out of the torture of prisoners of colonies prisoners

The director of the FSIN, Alexander Kalashnikov, called the use of force towards prisoners in the colonies from the personnel in separate cases, not a system, and promised to get out of their excess. He said this to reporters on the sidelines of the penitentiary forum in Ryazan, Interfax reports.

He considers it necessary to "raise the status and prestige of our service, which is currently on distant approaches, on distant shores among law enforcement agencies and this is very sad."

According to him, the guards are constantly in contact with the criminal world, the danger and psychological stress impose "their imprint on them. At the same time, the load on employees with a salary of 19,000 - 20,000 rubles "exceeds all standards", while at the enterprises people receive an average of 35,000 - 45,000 rubles.

The head of the department assured that an official trial is being held for each message and the perpetrators are responsible for the criminal. The agency will do the prevention of such crimes, for which methodological recommendations have already been prepared and sent to the regions.

According to Kalashnikov, members of public supervisory commissions constantly monitor the training of the FSIN employees and control their work, in addition, prosecutors monitor the colonies.

He would like to see human rights activists in allies and receive tips from them how to improve the situation of prisoners. He rejected concerns about the possible tightening of the regime in connection with his arrival.

With the support of the Ministry of Justice, State Duma and Senators, he expects to achieve in the near future improvement in social support and the standard of living of service employees.

Kalashnikov headed the FSIN in October. Before that, he was the head of the FSB in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
