Many cat owners consider their pets rather lazy and, coming home from work in the evening, often find the cat in the same place and in the same pose as in the morning. So that the cat does not suffer from boredom, idleness and retained good shape, the Enabot startup developed an EBO compact home robot and successfully raised about 200 thousand dollars on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform.
EBO has the shape of a ball and LED display with "eyes". The robot is able to independently move around the apartment, avoiding a collision with obstacles. With the help of sounds and movements imitating the movement of a small animal, the robot attracts the attention of the cat and makes it move. In the upper part of the robot, you can fix your favorite toy of a cat, and another way to occupy a pet provides a laser pointer built into the robot. At a low level of charge of the EBO battery, it is automatically sent to a charger.
According to the developers of the EBO, the robot case is made of durable materials resistant to cats and teeth. A corporate mobile application allows you to arrange a cat's game on a schedule, monitor the process through the built -in EBO camera, communicate with the animal through the microphone, as well as shoot photos and videos for social networks.
In addition to the standard version of EBO, the company also prepared the EBO PRO robot which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the cat’s behavior and independently selects the most suitable time for the game. As an option for both versions of the robot, a special collar is proposed, which counts the animal steps and fixes other health indicators, like any fitness tracker.
The funds for the production of EBO will end at the end of December, but the creators of the robot have repeatedly exceeded the given bar of donations. Currently, you can apply for an EBO for the standard version of the US dollars (equipment with a collar will cost $ 179), and the version with AI will cost $ 199 and 219, respectively. Deliveries of the usual version of the robot will begin in March 2020, and the Pro version in June.
