He is trying to make him silent, but speaking to the townspeople he announces that he made an important discovery - he made an important discovery - he made an important discovery. The expression "enemy of the people" was not invented by Ibsen at all. It has existed since ancient times. Very quickly in the lists were not only those who really opposed Sulla, but also the enemies of those who made up lists, or just those who interfered with something. As one noble Roman exclaimed, seeing the murderers: "Oh my god, my villa is chasing me!" - And indeed, he was killed, the villa was confiscated, and the killers got a fat jackpot.

Later, during the French Revolution, the concepts of "enemy of the people", "enemy of the revolution" began to use. There were still "suspicious" - almost any person could be attributed to this category. Those who opposed the revolution got there, and those who were unlucky to be born an aristocrat, and just those who did not show sufficient zeal in the struggle for the revolution. The suspicious were outlawed, they were judged by the revolutionary tribunal, guided primarily not by laws, but by the "revolutionary conscience", and for some reason she ordered everyone to unprotected to send it to the guillotine.

The concept of “the enemy of the people” gained special fame in the Soviet era, when the stigma glued it to everyone who did not please the Bolsheviks - General Dukhonin, who refused to conclude a truce with the Germans, the party of cadets, who did not recognize the seizure of Lenin, the White Guards, the fists, the supporters of Trotsky, Bukharin, Kamenev, and everyone in general.

And each time-whether in the USSR, or in France, and to some extent even in Rome, it turned out that not a tyrant and its minions are uploaded against the "enemies of the people", but the "united majority"-the Soviet people, the poor-sankulets, the soldiers of Sulla, who defended the interests of Rome. And against the cohesive majority, you can’t stand it.

And now we have a new variety of “enemies of the people” - this is a “foreign agent”, which, after the decision made by the Duma, can be declared any person “distributing information” and “receiving funds from abroad”. We all distribute information in our information age, and getting funds from abroad is so simple-a fee for publication, a refund after refusing to buy, or simply a dollar specially sent from abroad. One.

And how quickly the “close-knit major” is guided in the situation, or those who pretend to be for it have just been accepted, and already fascist people who pretend that they express the opinion of all residents of the Begovoy district, require the activity of the Overnight charity, which helps homeless, study for foreign financing. And they openly rejoice - “Against the enemy, you need to use all possible ways of struggle. Now the“ overnight stay ”will not be up to Moscow. She will have to explain with the center of“ E ”for a long time. And if she is closed as a result, this will be a good lesson for her.”

How disgusting all these representatives of the “coated majority” are disgusting, with their vanity, aggressiveness and stupidity. Involuntarily, you want to repeat after Dr. Stockman: "The strongest person in the world is the one who is the most alone." But I will not repeat this, because I know - there are many people who do not belong to the coated majority, and no matter how much they are announced by foreign agents, they will still remain normal people, and the scenes will always be scum, and no cohesion will help them. ”
