There is a sequel
Self -shooting with a doublet. In December, Russia can be driven from the international sports movement with kicks
The sports community is anxiously waiting for the Executive Committee of the World Anti -Doping Organization (WADA) in the case of the non -compliance of the database of the Moscow Anti -Doping Laboratory, but it has already arrived on the other hand. The disciplinary committee of the International Association of athletics Federations (IAAF) removed from the work of leading functionaries of the All -Russian Athletics Federation (VFLA), headed by President Dmitry Shlyakhtin. This was the result of a 15-month trial with the so-called Danil Lysenko case about a false certificate. The jump in height himself and his coach Evgeny Zagorulko are deprived of the right to act and train for violation of anti -doping rules, the five bosses - for possible assistance in falsification. If the removal from the temporary goes into permanent - and everything indicates just such a development of events - then the consequences can be catastrophic not only for athletics, but for the entire Russian sport.
And after all, everything went to this. The leading Russian athlete, the height of Maria Lasitskene, literally screamed about this in the summer, offering the entire leadership of WFLA to resign for an “endless shame”. Dmitry Shlyakhtin in response complained that there are people whose statements go across the ascetic activity of the organization to restore its prestige. Up the IAAF, Shlyakhtin reported that everything is fine, that the head organization welcomes the sequential execution of the road map and will be about to restore the status of four years under the sanctions of Russian athletics, and at such a crucial moment Lasitskene and the head of the Russada, Yuri Ganus, who supported it, put the footboard.
The “war” between the leading athlete and the federation was slightly quiet during the World Cup in Doha, where Lasitzkene, who performed in the neutral status, became a three -time world champion, but she did not change her position in relation to the current leadership of WFLA.

Lasitzkene saw the situation from the inside and perfectly understood what was happening with Russian athletics, and what is the price of the efforts of the new leadership called to save her. She did not say that there was no effort - she convinced that these efforts were clearly not enough. And again, it was quite visibly imagined what the investigation in the Lysenko case and the presence of other violations on which the direct leadership turned aimed at. Suffice it to say that IAAF refused to restore the status of WFLA 12 times, and this was not visible to this.
Now, when the thunder struck, Maria Lasitzkene in her appeal to the head of the Ministry of Sports Pavel Kolobkov and the head of the Olympic Committee of Russia Stanislav Pozdnyakova said nothing new. In addition to the fact that all defendants should leave their posts immediately, without waiting for the final verdict, “and never return”:
“Our athletics in agony, and you can no longer hesitate. We have already lost four years ... A new team, whose task was to lead us out of a doping nightmare, was no better than the old one. And in some ways even worse. ”
If we keep in mind the “Lysenko case”, then certainly - worse. From the first moment, when the details of what happened with one of the talented young jumpers in height have leaked to the press, the feeling that this could not be. Lysenko was removed from the competition at the end of the summer of 2018 for the pass of out-of-line doping tests. The most that the athlete threatened in the absence of convincing excuses for three passes is a two -year disqualification.
But the case took a completely different turn when it turned out that Lysenko presented a fake medical certificate as an excuse for a missed doping test-there was neither such a medical institution nor such doctors in nature. The fact that the top of the WFLA could at least be aware of falsification, and caused a long investigation. The removal means one - the participation of functionaries in the forgery of the Disciplinary Committee of the IAAF considered proven. And forgery, and even with a higher cover, the violation is much more serious than the use of doping, almost automatically increasing the term of possible disqualification.
The whole horror of the situation is that the “excuse” was at the level of thinking of a third -grader, who, fearing his father’s anger, transports a deuce to the five in the diary.

Given the situation where under the microscope each step of the disgraced organization, resorting to a linden certificate was the height of idiocy, I won’t pick up another word. It is clear that such a practice has existed since Soviet times, when the sick leave took the same tourists to extend the vacation, but then at least resorted to the help of real doctors, and this did not consider it a great sin.
And here, saving his career, let one athlete, but one athlete, put the fate of hundreds of his colleagues, all athletics and all Russian sports. One simple thought of the possible consequences was to stop the participants in the “Covering Operation” - but did not stop. The mentality of this is the fault, naive carelessness or something else, it is already unimportant. It is important that the cause of the coming and, most likely, inevitable punishment, served
Not the machinations of enemies, not the notorious Russophobia, but the most of your own criminal sloppiness, and elementary lessons that have not been learned over four years.
What Dmitry Shlyakhtin, who was appointed a crisis manager for the salvation of Russian athletics in January 2016, is right, is that the interest in the full rehabilitation of the organization entrusted to him was shown by almost all higher international sports structures, to which the “anti-Russian” anti-doping history also fed as the order. Many in Russia hoped that the payment of the VFLA is a fine of more than three million, finally, the epic would finish, it remains only to clean up all kinds of little things with disqualified coaches, which participated in the process in one way or another. And then it turned out that the Russian organizers themselves for the purity of the athletics rows on a saucer presented an almost surrendered “Inquisition” that an awesome document in the form of a false reference.
The mind is incomprehensible!
Of course, Shlyakhtin and the team will take some actions, trying to provide explanations on all points of the charges by December 12: “Only after a detailed assessment of the situation, legal advice and a complete understanding of circumstances, I will be able to comment on further steps.” But it seems that it is too late to drink Borjomi - the leadership of the athletics federation was so successfully engaged in its restoration that the organization could even close without hopes for the return of status in the near future. Perhaps you can forget about the full participation of the Russian team in the 2020 Olympics.
But optimistic forecasts have recently sounded from the highest sports posts. We were assured that the sports community and its leaders for the most part are vitally interested in the Russian Olympic movement to the Russian Olympic movement without any restrictions. The community may be interested-unlike ourselves.
As Maria Lasitzkene wrote in her sharp statement, "pure athletes are still defenseless and not sure that they will get the opportunity to speak tomorrow." Now she may be heard. Only the time to correct the situation remains, and no one of his Russia in connection with the newly discovered circumstances is going to provide.
