In Kyiv, an action took place in the memory of the victims of the Holodomor

A crowded action of the victims of the Holodomor was held in Kyiv. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that his country "could never forget and forgive the crime of the Holodomor, whose culprit was the Stalin regime."

Today we honor the memory of the victims of the Holodomor - crimes of the genocide, which was committed by the totalitarian Stalinist regime against our people, against the people of Ukraine

“Today we honor the memory of the victims of the Holodomor-the crimes of the genocide, who committed the totalitarian Stalinist regime against our people, against the people of Ukraine. According to various studies, from the Holodomor of 1932-33, from 4 to 8 million Ukrainians died. These losses are comparable to our losses in the Second World War,” Zelensky said.

The promotions in Kyiv were attended by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov, Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk, Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Epiphanius.

After the performance of Zelensky, a national minute of silence was declared. Participants in the action laid the candles of memory to the Memorial of the victims of the Holodomor.
