• Currency deposits are growing, despite the advanced fall in dollars and euros. From the beginning of the year to November, the average rates on ruble deposits fell from 8.1-8.35% to 6-7.65%, depending on the urgency, dollar-from 3-4.27% to 0.9-2%, and from 0.78-1.17% to 0.012-0.48%.
• The fall of ruble rates (the average maximum rate in the top 10 banks in November was 6.03%) can contribute to further currency deposits. If the Central Bank continues to reduce the key rate, the rates on ruble deposits will follow it, and the fall of bets in the currency may slow down or stop.
• People are accustomed to fear a sharp decrease in the ruble and prefer to keep part of the savings in currency. At the beginning of October, the ruble was better than the currency investment of the year, but for the rest of the year it could lose all its growth.
