The prosecutor's office requested correctional labor for Golos coordinator Roman Udot in the case of threats to NTV journalists

The state prosecution asked the magistrate of precinct No. 263 in Khimki, Moscow Region, to sentence Golos movement board member Roman Udot to 350 hours of corrective labor on charges of threatening to kill NTV journalists. The meeting is broadcast on Telegram by the Zakon news agency.

The first part of Article 119 of the Criminal Code, which he is charged with, provides for up to two years in prison. From the end of May to July, Udot was already under house arrest, until he was released under a "prohibition of certain actions" - to use the Internet and participate in rallies.

The case was opened a year ago, after the film crew of the TV channel pursued Udot to Sheremetyevo and demanded to comment on his departure from the country: then Udot took away the phone from the journalist filming him. A month later, they wrote a statement of threats due to the fact that Udot allegedly told them: "I will kill you."

Udot insists that he succumbed to the provocation of NTV journalists and was not going to attack them. In his last speech, he noted that cameraman Eduard Zhuravlev would have stopped filming if he really believed that his colleague Alexandra Miroshnichenko was under threat. “I was marinated until September, the elections, and then they began to judge in an expedited manner,” he said.
