According to Daria Evmenina, doctors suspect that Gaiser had a heart attack. The convicted ex-head of the Komi was taken from the pre-trial detention center to the nearest hospital.

According to investigators, Gaiser, along with several more high -ranking officials and businessmen, was a part of the criminal group, which abducted the state property by more than three billion rubles. But the court sentenced him to 11 years in a maximum security colony and a fine of 160 million rubles.
In October, the Moscow City Court rejected the appeal of the ex-official.
