Leningrad region: the remains of soldiers of the Soviet-Finnish war found the remains of the pipeline

Soviet-Finnish war 1939-1940

On the territory of the military unit in Kamenka of the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region, the remains of hundreds of soldiers of the Soviet-Finnish war were discovered. This was reported by the press service of the Western Military District. The mass grave was found during the laying of the pipeline.

The work is temporarily suspended. The find is examined by search units. Of the objects on the spot, glasses, award star, Soviet coins, a punch with cartridges were found, noted in the press service.

During the Soviet-Finnish war, two rifle divisions were deployed on the site of the current military unit. Traces of medical tires and bandages were found on the remains. The dead could be patients of the hospital.
