Pskov: a non -disclosure subscription in Prokopieva's case was recognized as illegal

Svetlana Prokopyeva

The Pskov Regional Court recognized the actions of the investigator illegal, who took the subscription of non -disclosure from journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva, who is accused of justifying terrorism. This is stated in the court decision, which is at the disposal of the editorial office.

The defense of Svetlana Prokopyeva in the complaint indicated that the subscription does not allow the journalist to contact specialists for examinations. According to lawyer Tatyana Martynova, this violates the right to defense. The court agreed with this and canceled the decision of the previous instance - the Pskov city court.

Svetlana Prokopyeva on Facebook wrote that a letter came to her from the investigator, which says that now the subscription was invalid.

"The funny thing is that we did not even go to the appeal - neither I myself nor my defenders. We lost in the first instance (we disputed the legality of this subscription), we decided not to waste time on the second. And suddenly - the decision is in our favor! Now I will talk a lot and in detail about my criminal case, contact a lot of tasty, and the journalist began to wait," the journalist wrote.

Prokopyeva spoke about two secret witnesses in a criminal case. One of them - Petr Petrovich Petrov - may be associated with the radio station "Echo of Moscow in Pskov." Petrov told the investigator that the employees of the Pskov Echo conspired to testify that they did not see any justification for terrorism in the words of journalist Svetlana Prokopyeva.

The second secret witness told the investigator that Prokopyeva did not like power, because “worked with the“ apple ”, helped Navalny, said that there should be mass rallies,” write “Open Media”.

The criminal case on the justification of terrorism was brought to Svetlana Prokopyev in February 2019 after she was on the air of the Echo of Moscow in Pskov discussed the terrorist attack in the UFSB in the Arkhangelsk region, where 17-year-old Mikhail Zhlobitsky arranged an explosion in October 2018. On the eve of Prokopyev, they notified the end of the investigation of the criminal case.

Prokopyev was supported by journalists, international human rights organizations, politicians and public figures in Russia and other countries. The Union of Journalists of St. Petersburg demands to terminate the criminal case of Prokopyeva. The Union said that on their initiative, additional examinations of the reports of the journalist were conducted. Experts did not find in the words of Svetlana Prokopyeva justification of terrorism.
