Environmental packaging of Alfa-Bank cards will save 29 tons of paper per year

Now Alfa-Bank cards are delivered in a new environmentally friendly packaging, the use of which will save 29 tons of paper annually. Next year, Alfa-Bank plans to deliver about 1 million cards to customers.

“To deliver the card to the client, banks spend a lot of paper - you need both an envelope and documents for signature. We are fighting with this, but the legislation does not completely get rid of paper, so we decided to switch to environmentally friendly materials and reduced the amount of documents to the minimum possible. I hope that other banks will also follow our example, ”said Alexei Giyazov, marketing director of Alfa-Bank.

- The new envelope is made of decaying material - special paper certified by the FSC International Ecological Association. This means that the method of extraction and processing of materials does not destroy the forest.

-Alfa-Bank abandoned ordinary colors, the production of which causes damage to nature. Now all the inscriptions on the envelope are made by soy ink, safe in production and completely evaporating in a year, as well as embossing.

- The volume of accompanying documents is optimized: the excess was removed, the complex was simplified.

We remind you: for more than a year, Alfa-Bank offers customers of a card with digital delivery. Such cards in the form of digital tokens are loaded in ApplePay / GooglePay and allow you to pay for purchases with a smartphone, and on the Internet - on the details that can be viewed in the mobile application of the bank. The physical map itself can not be obtained at the same time at the same time - and this is the most environmentally friendly option of all possible.
