Timati abandoned the football project - the “Western approach” did not justify itself

The Black Star group of companies of musical artist Timur Yunusov, known as Timati, left the football business. The rapper finally abandoned his ambitious plans to create another powerful football club in Moscow.

According to information from the Championship.com portal, the Black Star Sport agency, which the rapper opened in 2017, is currently at the stage of liquidation. Timati and his partners left the football business even earlier.

The performer's expectations from the work of his agency were not met. Neither the company nor Timati himself have yet commented on this information. The football agency's Instagram page has not been updated since January of this year.

Let us recall that in 2017 Timati intended to create a club in Moscow on the basis of FC Strogino, where graduates of the city’s sports schools would perform. The team intended to advance to a serious sporting level and become the center of attraction for the football community in the capital.

Investors planned to take a “Western approach” - to capitalize football and make it financially attractive, rather than engage in “development” of public funds.

Note that Black Star also has a production company, a burger joint, a car wash, a club, a barbershop and a tattoo parlor. This brand also produces a clothing line.
