Segezha: the governor explained the mass death of birds with heart arrest

The mass death of birds in Segezh is not related to the activity of the cellulose-paper plant, the governor of Karelia Arthur Parfenchikov said in social networks. According to the head of the republic, the birds died from cardiac arrest.

The dead pigeons, specified Parfenchikov, recorded the increased content of table salt in the liver. Experts note that the birds were poisoned by sodium chloride - this is the main component of table salt, which is part of anti -icing reagents.

Parfenchikov also added that according to the preliminary results of Rosprirodnadzor, the exceeding the emissions of hydrogen sulfide, benzapirene and methyl -meterkaptan was recorded on the sodoregeneration boilers of the Central Bank.

Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor Karelia revealed a DNA of the pathogen of ornithosis in the dead birds.
