Kaliningrad: ambulance employees warned of mass reduction

The Ministry of Health of the Kaliningrad Region sent an order to all regional ambulance stations (is available to the editorial office) with a notification of one hundred percent reduction of the staff of employees. This is done in the framework of the reorganization to create a unified ambulance service. Concerned ambulance employees wrote an appeal to the regional Duma.

As follows from the document, the dismissal will take place on December 15. Each employee must sign in the order that he is familiar with the plans for reorganization.

Deputy Regional Minister of Health Elena Semenova, in an interview with a correspondent of the Sever. Reali, noted that there is no talk of dismissal of employees, and wages would not suffer. According to her, the reorganization is carried out exclusively for the convenience of doctors and residents, and all employees will be employed in the urban ambulance station.

The paramedic of the ambulance department of the Soviet CGB Elena Kozinna is not sure of this: according to her, the drivers of all the imminent were already forced to undergo re -certification. The fate of the cleaners remains unclear. The order does not write who "will wash the floors" after reorganization.

The chairman of the regional Duma, Marina Orheeva, promised to figure out why, during the reorganization, it was necessary to dismiss doctors to reduce the state, and not to translate into a new structure.

“We heard that there was a reorganization, but we did not assume that it is going in such a way. We must figure out why there is no such point related to guarantees of the transfer of employees to a new institution, which, in principle, does not change,” Orgeeva told the correspondent.

Doctors are also afraid that after dismissal, other positions may be offered to them. The Deputy Minister of Health Elena Semenova does not deny such an opportunity.

The deputy of the Kaliningrad Regional Duma Mikhail Chesalin believes that regional officials initially built a wrong line of communication with health workers.

“Instead of organized to inform, hold a meeting, telling and correctly legally organize a translation from the existing structures of district hospitals to a single ambulance service, employees warn about dismissal,” the deputy complains.

He also said that the changes will not affect Kaliningrad. The Ministry of Health, in his opinion, is committing a “moral crime”, which should be immediately suppressed by the governor.

It is planned that the municipalities will join the single system until July 1, 2020.
