The Connecticut Haskis hockey team from the United States decided to please its striker Vladislav Firstov and defender Yana Kuznetsov Russian cuisine - because the players really lacked the usual food.
For athletes, they prepared (or rather, tried to cook) vinaigrette, borsch, Kiev cutlets, buckwheat porridge and cheesecakes. “Kyiev’s cutlets have become a hit,” the author of the note on the team’s blog rejoices. “Firstov, Kuznetsov and coaches agreed that it was the best part of the dinner.”
Judging by the video, it was so-the result at least outwardly resembled Kiev cutlets.
In other dishes, a person from Russia would hardly have made out something familiar. Borsch, for example, turned out to be some kind of dried Mesiva.
It seems that the team of cooks also could not cope with the buckwheat. But hockey players did not complain. “Borsch was pretty good. True, it should have a little more liquid in it, ”Kuznetsov noted tactfully after lunch and did not even laugh.
“It’s so great to eat Russian food here,” said Vladislav Firstov, but did not praise any specific dishes. Before sitting at the table, the athlete admitted that he was very bored with soups, since they are prepared quite rarely in the States.
