A bus with 43 passengers on the Sretensk-Chita route in the Trans-Baikal Territory fell off a 6-meter-high bridge today, December 1, around 9:40 Moscow time. 19 people were killed, including the driver (according to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs). Among the dead are at least two children; 14 people are hospitalized.
Accident. The cause of the accident, according to preliminary data from the traffic police, was a punctured wheel. The driver lost control, and the bus fell off the bridge onto the ice of the frozen Kuenga River, at 60 km of the Mogoytuy-Sretensk-Olochi highway.
