Two deputies of the Moscow City Duma from Fair Russia removed the third from the post of head of the faction

Mikhail Timonov was removed from the post of the head of the Just Russia faction in the Moscow City Duma. Timonov is one of the most active opposition deputies in the metropolitan parliament: he organized a round table about the problem of freedom of assembly in Moscow, voted against the draft city budget, opposed electronic voting, and at the time he stood in “metropicles” in support of political prisoners. His colleagues in the faction Magomet Yandiev and Alexander Solovyov voted differently, but restrained themselves, commenting on the actions of the head of the faction. However, at some point they gathered and made a collegial decision to remove Timonov from the post of head-as the newly elected head of the Yandiev faction told the “new”, Timonov allegedly “crossed the Red Line”.

- During my work in the Moscow City Duma, I consistently defended the interests of Muscovites, which used the support of the highest leadership of the Just Russia party. To my deep regret, a professional, consistent approach did not find support among my colleagues in the Yandiev and Solovyov faction ( Yandiev and Soloviev voted “for” the draft budget. - Ed. ). Therefore, we initially did not make a fractional decision in the vote on the budget of Moscow. At the same time, their activity, which began immediately at the end of the meeting of the Moscow City Duma, was a surprise to me.

Timonov says that immediately after the meeting, his colleagues "recalled [his] aside."

“They invited me to add up to powers. I said that actually the faction is a party story. At least we need consultations and we need to draw up all this - after that I left them together. ”

Now, as Timonov explains, the legal side of the issue of his withdrawal from the post of head of the faction is subject to clarification: "[On this occasion] I am in a constant dialogue with the party leadership."

According to Mohammed Yandiev, it was decided to remove Mikhail Timonov from his post for a different reason: supposedly Timonov did not agree with his colleagues a candidacy for the position of head of the apparatus of the faction. As Timonov explained to the “new”, this man was Vyacheslav Vladimirovich Dushenko. “I have long known him as the head of“ Just Russia ”in the Eastern District. Colleagues have already known for more than a month that I was offered and agreed with the leadership of the faction a candidate for the heads of the apparatus. I believe that in all my actions I acted in agreement with the federal leadership. ”

-A month and a half ago, he voiced the candidacy, which he wanted to offer the head of the apparatus of the faction,-says his version of "New" Yandiev. - We asked him to give us several candidates to be competition and there is a choice. After that, we did not return to this conversation until the last moment, until it became clear that he had introduced this candidacy.

As Yandiev notes, “so that Timonov retained his face,” his faction colleagues invited him to leave his position. However, Timonov refused. Then Yandiev and Soloviev decided everything themselves and chose the new head of Yandiev. The newly elected head of the faction says that they “did not raise noise”, even when Timonov held events (for example, a round table about freedom of rallies and processions in Moscow) or announced that the faction supports the deputy from the Communist Party of the Communist Party of Ekaterina Engalycheva about the inadmissibility of the use of the electronic voting system in elections in Russia.

- The fact that he votes is in the case or events. Or this incident with the statement of Englycheva about electronic voting is all the working moments, ”Yandiev continues. - He rudely and brazenly deceived us. He wanted to be [the head of the faction] and showed the initiative - we said “good”, we will support you. But let's agree on the rules of the game. We have some issues that we discuss exclusively collegial. This one was one of them. There is just a red line, and he crossed it.

“I am going to act further in the same way as I acted,“ continue to work, ”Timonov says. - And then let's look at the legal side. I will continue to work for the benefit of Muscovites - this will not go anywhere, regardless of any solutions. I well remember who chose me and guess why.

Meanwhile, Timonov was supported by many municipal deputies.
