In Moscow, Antonina Sergeeva, Elena Pavlova and Alina Batrakova were detained inside the Nightingale cinema building. The latter handcuffed herself to a cinema chair in protest against the demolition of the cinema building. Sergeeva herself reported this via the hotline.
OVD-InfoAt the moment, Sergeeva and Pavlova are being taken to the police department in the Presnensky district. They were together with Batrakova in the cinema hall, as they feared for her safety. Batrakova and the police are in the cinema hall, where the Ministry of Emergency Situations officers must arrive to break the handcuffs.
After this, Batrakova is also going to be detained. During her protest, she demanded to be connected with the mayor of Moscow and the management of the cinema. According to Sergeeva, the detainees are going to be charged with petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code).
Antonina Sergeeva was released from the Presnensky police department after a preventive conversation. They did not draw up an administrative violation report against her. The police promise to have the same conversations with the other two detainees.
