In Moscow and Chelyabinsk, FSB officers detained nine people involved in the activities of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization. This was reported by Interfax with reference to the Center for Public Relations of the FSB.
The agency writes that "at secret meetings they recruited local Muslims and migrants." At the moment, according to Interfax, criminal cases have been opened against the detainees in connection with their participation in the “activities of a terrorist organization”, and seizures of “propaganda materials, means of communication, electronic media” have taken place in their homes.
Also on December 2, the Parental Solidarity telegram channel, which supports victims of persecution in connection with the Hizb ut-Tahrir case, wrote about the detention of two men in Chelyabinsk and the Chelyabinsk region. Ilfat Galimov and Rustam Khalikov were charged under Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code (activities of a terrorist organization) and placed under arrest in SIZO-7 of Chelyabinsk. At the moment, OVD-Info has no confirmed information that Galimov and Khalikov were detained in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case.
