Alexander Savchuk, the father of the murdered Yana Savchuk, filed a lawsuit in the amount of non -pecuniary damage in the amount of five million rubles to the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Oryol Region. This was reported to the "Mediazone" in the human rights organization "Zone of Law".
In such an amount, the plaintiff appreciated the moral suffering that he experienced in connection with the death of his daughter due to the negligence of the precinct Natalya Bashkatova.

In November 2016, Savchuk called the police and said that the cohabitant Andrei Bochkov threatens her with murder. Bashkatova came to the call.
Despite the fact that Bochkov behaved aggressively, the district police officer did not detain him. When leaving, Bashkatova said Savchuk: “If you are killed, we will definitely leave, we will describe the corpse, don’t worry!” Five minutes after the police departure, the roommate scored Savchuk to his death.
In July, the Soviet District Court of Orel found Bashkatov the guilty of negligence, which entailed the death of a person (part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced it to two years in a colony-settlement. The defendant refused to admit guilt and accused her father of the death of her daughter. The cohabitant Savchuk was sentenced to 13 years in the colony.
