The Sverdlovsk Regional Court recognized the decision of the Tavdinsky City Court to be legal on the cancellation of a residence permit in Russia to the pastor of the Baptist community of Tavda Helmut Beringer, writes New Gazeta.
A German citizen must leave Russia within 15 days.
According to lawyer Pastor Vladimir Ryakhovsky, part of the case file against his client is classified, which actually deprives him of the right to defense. Representatives of the FSB, on the basis of whose materials this case appeared, in court they said that their arguments were “presented to the court in writing”, and did not voice them.

Beringer has been living in Russia since 1994. He has four children, two of whom are not yet 18 years old. Pastor's wife is a citizen of Russia. In Tavd, Beringer was engaged in farming and cleaned snow for organizations working in the city. The security forces drew attention to the pastor after he distributed Tavda to the residents of Tavda during the World Cup, dedicated to the event published by the Russian Union of Christian Baptists. He gave one of the brochures a minor girl that the security forces were regarded as "violation of the rules for conducting missionary activities."
According to the “new”, the case of the Pastor case in the certificates from the FSB claims that he “calls for counteracting the Russian Orthodox Church” and “is a supporter of the violent change in the constitutional system of the Russian Federation”.
