Former NTV CEO Boris Jordan has been included in Bloomberg's annual list of the 50 most influential people in the world. The agency calls him the "king of marijuana": the businessman owns 34% of the shares of the American company that produces medical marijuana, Curaleaf.

Jordan headed the NTV channel in 2001-2003. He has a business in Russia: his Sputnik group of companies controls 52.12% of the shares of Renaissance Insurance. In addition, Sputnik has also invested in the biopharmaceutical company OxfordBioMedica.
