The shelling of the doubters

The Kremlin is preparing for a summit in the Norman format as they can. The shelling on the demarcation line does not stop. In the "Parliament of the Donetsk People's Republic" they vote for recognition of its borders with the corresponding boundaries of the Donetsk region of Ukraine. The speaker of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin warns that several more regions may break from Ukraine. And Vladimir Putin himself accuses the Ukrainian side of non -constructiveness in gas negotiations.

Add to this the murder in Berlin . Of course, someone will blame the Russian special services of clumsiness - why overshadow the situation on the eve of the summit, the meeting of Merkel and Putin? But if this is clumsiness, then the exaggeration of the federal chancellor makes it clear that the Russian special services feel at home not only in London, but also in Berlin. And Angel Merkel, who already has serious problems with the preservation of the government coalition after the change of leadership of German Social Democrats, it is worth understanding. And to think good about both your behavior and your doubts.

Macron is not “sheated” only because he seems to have no doubt about anything .

We pretend that we do not understand what the results of the Paris summit can be, although in fact the options for its outcome are understandable even to the Dilentant - if, of course, this amateur is not the president of Ukraine or France. In any case, the roles have already been distributed in the Kremlin.

Putin goes to Paris to accept the surrender of a presumptuous television comedian who imagined himself even to his comrades from the KGB and dared to achieve a meeting with the "collector of land". Macron's task is to put pressure on the comedian, to explain to him how life works, and with all its appearance to demonstrate that Ukraine will not receive the best offers. And Mrs. Merkel would be better just to shut up and not interfere with Putin. Here, in fact, is the whole of the mise -en -scene.

What will happen if Zelensky does not want to be a sacrificial lamb, does not surrender to Putin, stand before the pressure of Macron, and listen to the advice of Merkel? Nothing special. Russian threats that have repeatedly sounded at different levels will begin to come true. They will try to "restore the territorial integrity of the DPR", begin to take measures to break some other Ukrainian territories, close the gas valve, strengthen shelling - how many can be invented to strengthen the pressure? Because Zelensky’s unpreparedness to surrender will be perceived in the Kremlin as insufficient pressure on it.

The Ukrainian president has a really bad choice - between surrender and war. And this despite the fact that most of his compatriots do not want to surrender or war, but wants peace - but so that it is not ashamed. Simply put, wants a miracle.

The predecessor of Zelensky, Petro Poroshenko, understood this well, and therefore did not force the meetings in the Norman format after he was convinced that it was impossible to achieve a compromise on them, and unpreparedness for surrender leads to new serious aggravations. But the lack of meetings allowed the parties to gain a foothold in their positions until better times - despite the fact that sanctions against Russia continued to work, and assistance to Ukraine continued to act.

Zelensky just had to understand why these meetings were not actually. But, surrounded by naive or malicious people, confident that the war with Russia continues only because in Kyiv they want to "enrich" on it and do not want to talk with Putin, the new Ukrainian president himself rushed into the plague hut of the Norman summit. And dragged his country behind him.
