The Votkinsk city court dismissed the bailiff's claim against the alleged author of the investigation into the activities of local bailiffs, Mikhail Sokolov, and also decided to pay the activist 20,000 rubles as reimbursement for lawyer's expenses. This is reported by the publication "7 × 7".
A lawsuit against Sokolov for compensation for non-pecuniary damage was filed by Alexander Lyamin, deputy head of the Udmurt bailiff service, who, according to Sokolov's investigation, had a debt of 400 thousand rubles for enforcement proceedings, but avoided recovery. Lyamin demanded to recover a million rubles from the activist, but later reduced the amount by half.
The court in two instances rejected the demands of the bailiff, after which it granted the activist's petition for reimbursement of court costs, which are compensated by the losing party - that is, Lyamin himself.
