Medvedev commented on summer protests and "sovereign Runet"

The head of the Russian government, Dmitry Medvedev, on Thursday, answered the questions of twenty Russian federal television channels for two hours. Among the issues asked by Medvedev, there was a question about summer protests in Moscow in connection with the case of journalist Ivan Golunov and the misunderstanding of independent candidates for elections to the Moscow City Duma. Answering a question about protests, Medvedev stated that summer events caused a “powerful query for justice”, without specifying what he meant. She was interested in whether the authorities are going to ban the YouTube service in Russia. The prime minister replied that "no one is going to close anything." The law on sovereign Runet, he said, must protect Russian citizens in case of trying to cut the country from the global network.

Most of the issues concerned the economy, but some of them are foreign policy. Medvedev commented on relations with Belarus, Ukraine, West and China.
