Lavrov compared the investigation of the murder in Berlin with the Boeing crash case over Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov compared the investigation of the resonant murder in Berlin, in involvement in which Russia was suspected, with the investigation in the case of the crash of the Malaysian Boeing in the east of Ukraine in 2014. On the eve of the German authorities, two Russian diplomats were sent in connection with the case of the murder of a Georgian citizen in Berlin. According to the Federal Prosecutor's Office of Germany, the Russian authorities or the authorities of the Chechen Republic may be involved in the crime. Berlin accused Moscow of insufficient assistance to the investigation of the crime.

Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khangoshvili was killed in Berlin on August 23. During the Second Chechen War, he was the commander of one of the units who fought against the Russian troops. The police detained the suspect at the site of the murder. With him there was a fake passport in the name of Vadim Sokolov. He received the document a week before traveling abroad. Journalists identified in the suspect 54-year-old Vadim Krasikov. In Russia, he was suspected of murder, was put on the wanted list, but then the search was terminated, and he received new documents, the investigators of the Bellingcat group noted.

The investigation of the Dossier Center describes in detail which documents Sokolov presented to the French consulate to receive a visa by which he entered the European Union. So, he indicated that he was an engineer at Rust from St. Petersburg, but the company director denies that such a person worked in it. According to Lavrov, inviting Russia to cooperation with the investigation, the German authorities should use existing bilateral channels. Otherwise, the situation will remind him of the case of the investigation of the Boeing crash of Ukraine in 2014. Then 298 people died. Pro -Russian separatists and Russians are suspected of involvement. Moscow accuses an international investigation of that it was not invited to participate in the investigation of the disaster.
