Lawyer Trump Rudy Juliani visited Kyiv

Lawyer of US President Rudy Juliani visited Kiev on Thursday - in the midst of the investigation of the House of Representatives about the possibility of impeachment Donald Trump, whom the Democrats accuse of pressure on Ukraine in order to achieve personal benefits.

The name Juliani has repeatedly sounded at the hearing on impechment. A number of witnesses called him Trump's confidant, who, on behalf of the president, talked with Ukrainian officials, convincing them to investigate the activities of the opponent of President Joe Biden and his son in Ukraine.

In Kiev, Juliani met with the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Derkach. This deputy previously argued that he had evidence that Biden's son was involved in corruption at a time when he was a member of the Burisma Board of Directors. Juliani actively quoted these statements.

So far, there is no information about whether the lawyer Trump was met in Kyiv with any of the officials.

Earlier this week, Juliani visited Budapest. There he met with the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko.

The New York Times, the first to report the trip to Juliani, also wrote that Trump’s lawyer planned to meet with another Ukrainian ex-hensor Viktor Shokin. Shokin previously argued that Joe Biden, when he was the US Vice President, sought his resignation to protect his son from the investigation. Many officials in the USA and Ukraine questioned these statements.

According to the New York Times , the purpose of Juliani’s trip is to collect evidence that could question the statements of the democrats about the selfish motives of Trump's actions. Juliani repeatedly accused Biden of corruption and claimed that Trump wanted to help Ukraine fight corruption with his actions.

On Thursday evening, without commenting on his visit to Kyiv, Juliani wrote on Twitter that he has evidence of Bayden's corruption and other officials of the former administration of Barack Obama, and he would “present them very soon”.

The investigation about the possibility of impeachment began in September, after an anonymous informant from the special services announced Trump's pressure on Ukraine.

On Thursday, the speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi supported the impeachment and instructed the Law Committee of the Palace to develop an impeachment - specific accusations against Trump.
