The Meshchansky District Court sentenced Yegor Lesnykh, the defendants in the Moscow case, to three years in a penal colony, Maxim Martintsov to two and a half years in a penal colony, and Alexander Mylnikov to a suspended sentence of two years. This is reported by Novaya Gazeta from the courtroom.
The court took into account that Mylnikov has three young children. After the verdict, the measure of restraint for him is changed from house arrest to a written undertaking not to leave.
According to investigators, Lesnykh, Martintsov and Mylnikov, during the action on July 27, they began to kick the National Guardsman Maxim Kosov, and then knocked him to the sidewalk. Their criminal cases were combined into one proceeding under Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (the use of violence that is not hazardous to health against a representative of the authorities). In addition, Lesnykh is accused of allegedly kicking police officer Alexei Fedorov. The defense provided a video at the trial, which shows that Lesnykh did not hit the law enforcement officer. All three pleaded not guilty.
