In the Perm Territory, the fine for a participant in the “Memorial” expedition to the cemetery of the repressed was canceled

The Kudymkar City Court in the Perm Territory canceled the fine and terminated the administrative case against Vladas Ulinkas, who participated in the international expedition of Memorial to the abandoned cemetery of the repressed, due to the lack of evidence of the offense. This was reported by the telegram channel of the human rights organization "Public Verdict".

On October 14, 2019, Vladas Ulinskas and his father Stanislovas Ulinskas, citizens of Lithuania, were fined 20 thousand rubles each under the article on “unauthorized occupation of forest plots” (Article 7.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) in the wake of the Kudymkar expedition.

• During the international expedition of "Memorial" on August 5-11, both Ulinskas and other volunteers tidied up the Polish-Lithuanian cemetery in the abandoned village of Galyashor in the Kudymkarsky district of the Perm Territory. In the 1940s, families of repressed Poles and Lithuanians were exiled to Galyashor.
• On August 10 and 11, police officers came to the expedition with interrogation, and a few days later were opened two criminal cases . The expedition members were accused of illegal logging (Article 260 of the Criminal Code), and a local resident, Leonid Ladanov, of fictitious registration of foreign citizens (Article 322.2 of the Criminal Code).

Today, December 9, the case of Vladas Ulinkas was considered. The judge of the Kudymkar City Court, Yulia Chashchina, canceled the fine due to the failure to prove the composition of the administrative offense.
