The Moscow City Court canceled two fines for those detained at the rally on August 3

The Moscow City Court terminated the administrative cases of Ivan Grantovsky and Grigory Sheyanov, who were detained at the rally on August 3 for fair elections. This was reported by their defenders from OVD-Info Olga Pelshe and Lidia Anosova.

Earlier, Grantovsky was fined 10 thousand rubles, and Sheyanov 15 thousand rubles under the article on violation of the rules for participation in a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

A copy of Grantovsky's protocol was unsigned, and the protocol itself was drawn up in his absence. In Sheyanov's case, the police sent the case file and summons to the wrong address. The Moscow City Court took into account these arguments and canceled the fines.

• The action “Let's take back the right to vote” took place on August 3 and took place throughout the Boulevard Ring in Moscow. According to OVD-Info, at least 1,001 people were detained that day. Employees of the Investigative Committee came to the detainees at the police departments and interrogated them in the case of the “mass riots” on July 27.
