
Former Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov died at the age of 83. This was reported by Interfax with reference to a source surrounded by Luzhkov.
According to REN TV, the former mayor of Moscow died in one of Munich’s clinics, where he was performed by heart surgery.
Yuri Mikhailovich Luzhkov passed away. I am sincerely sorry that this energetic cheerful man who headed Moscow in a difficult post -Soviet period did not have been doing a lot for the city and Muscovites. Condolences to relatives and friends.

Yuri Luzhkov served as mayor of Moscow from 19 92 to 2010. On September 28, 2010, at that time, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev dismissed him “due to the loss of confidence”. After the resignation, Luzhkov was engaged in business in the Kaliningrad region.
