
A rally was held in the Angara region against refusing to register candidates for the post of mayor of the Nizhneudinsky district. About 250 people gathered for a coordinated protest campaign in a small town.
The reason for the protest is the refusal of the Nizhneudin Electoral Commission to register as candidates for the post of head of the city of 6 self -nominates - deputy mayor of the district on social issues Anatoly Krupenev, head of the Nizhneudinsky post office Vitaly Bakulin, the head of the city of Alzamai Alexander Lebedev, unemployed Stanislav Martynovsky and Stanislav Umbelev, as well as a teacher of Nizhneudinsky Medylschi Lyudmila Kuzmenkov. Protesters went to the action with home -made posters: "We are left without the right to choose!" And "we have the right to navigate the candidates from the people!"

Human rights activists call the reasons for the abandonment refusal to register "controversial pretexts" - deputy mayor Krupenev was denied the status of a candidate due to the "oral conclusion of" handwriting "Alexander Pozdnyakov." At the same time, voters who supported Krupenev came to the commission to confirm their own signatures, but they were not allowed to the meeting.
The rally participants adopted a resolution with a demand for the regional election commission to allow the candidates-nominates to participate in the elections of the mayor of the Nizhneudinsky district. The elections will take place on December 22.
