The case was considered in a special order. The verdict was announced by the judge Ilya Romanenkov.
The court took Gorring on the time of serving the sentence of the time spent in the pre -trial detention center since the detention is from March 8, 2019. The court also did not impose an additional punishment in the form of a fine of 400 thousand rubles, deprivation of the military rank of reserve major and a ban on holding senior positions.
Gorring lawyers announced the disproportion of the punishment proposed by the prosecutor, which they considered it unreasonable "in connection with the result of evidence of" the guilt of another person involved in the case with the help of their client. According to lawyer Nikolai Kazantsev, since the criminal case, his client was the main witness, Gorring "Glorious and consistently" contributed to the investigation of the crime, confirmed the involvement of others in its commission.
Representatives of the defense asked the court to appoint Gorring the minimum possible punishment, including conditional punishment, and replace the category of crime with grave with medium severity. “Caucasian men never hide from responsibility,” said Vera Goncharova, lawyer and asked the court to free her client before the end of the year, “What his young children dream of.”
The defense noted that Gorring is the only breadwinner in a family with four young children and sick parents.
Gorring himself in the last word said that he had not hidden and was not going to hide from the investigation, was proud of his work in Rosgeology. “Over the years, I had four children - three princesses and my son, I bring them up. I am not dangerous, do not judge me strictly, they are bad now,” the defendant said, asking him to give him the opportunity to be with children.
He also called the committed crime a mistake of youth. “When everything happened, I was young ... Today I want the most to my children,” he added. The words of the defendant are given by Interfax .
According to the investigation, since 2009, Ruslan Ganizhev (then Gorring bore such a surname) received more than 19 million rubles from the entrepreneur for unhindered commercial activities in the Leninsky district of the Moscow region. Money was transferred to the accounts of one-day companies from June 2009 to September 2010. At the same time, Ganizhev acted as a proxy of the chairman of the Leninsky District Council of Deputies Alexander Gazaykin.
When the businessman stopped paying for patronage, Ganizhev continued to extort money from him. On February 15, 2011, their meeting was held, at which Kommersant handed over to Ganizhev more than 5 million rubles in cash. After that, the intermediary was detained by law enforcement officers.
Major was charged with h. 4 tbsp. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale). During the interrogation, Ganizhev gave a confession, after which he was released under the recognizance not to leave. However, then he disappeared from the investigation and was put on the wanted list. Gazaykin was sentenced to two years in a general regime colony.
Being on the wanted list, Ganizhev changed his last name and patronymic, becoming Ruslan Gorring. “I changed my last name, if I am not mistaken, in 2013 due to the threat of my life,” Gorring said in court. But his lawyer clarified that the client changed his last name and patronymic in 2011.
The ex-head of Rosgeology Roman Panov, speaking in court, said that when employing the deputy head of Gorring, the corresponding inspections, and the circumstances that impede his hiring were established, was not established.
"A person who is issued for such a position takes a corresponding audit of not even the safety structures of the holding, but according to the appropriate accounting of law enforcement agencies. Circumstances that impede its registration, at that time was not established," Panov said, noting that Gorring did not hide the change of surname.
On March 8, it became known about the detention of Gorring, which occurred on the eve of Vnukovo's capital's airport while trying to fly out in Sochi. The media wrote that he had tickets for three different flights. From Sochi, Gorring allegedly intended to go to Abkhazia.
He himself informed the court that he was going to leave for several days in Sochi, and called the criminal prosecution of "revenge on private billionaires." Gorring noted that in 2011 he "was an officer of the Russian army, so they had to transfer the case to the military prosecutor's office." "I collaborated with the investigation. Where my agreement was gone from my case, I do not know," the accused said.
Recall that at the end of January, the first deputy head of Rosgeology Ruslan Gorring lost his position after the broadcast of game stream with his participation flowed on the Internet. In the video, Gorring cursed obscenities , talked about an intimate connection with the employees of Rosgeology and the dismissal of one of them for the fact that the girl bought him a plane ticket not the first, but a business class.
After the audit, Rosgeology said that "confirming facts of violation of labor relations and the disclosure of commercial information was not established," but the Gorring contract was still terminated. Rosgeology general of Rosgeology Roman Panov was reprimanded, the Ministry of Natural Resources began to verify the entire financial and economic activities of the holding.
On March 22, it became known about the early resignation of Panov. He himself called it a "planned rotation", but noted that the scandal around Gorring also influenced the decision made by the shareholder.
According to some reports, Gorring, after graduating from the Military University of the Ministry of Defense, served in the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia (former GRU), was engaged in military-technical intelligence and was seconded to South Africa for about 10 years, after which he went "for well-deserved rest" in "Rosgeology". Gorring classmates at the university were the future head of Rosgeology Roman Panov and his deputy Sergei Suchkov.
