Here is a project on the "presumption of guilt" in Russia

Journalists of the Fourth Sector, 7 × 7 and the “Version-Saratov” project launched the project “ Indicative clones ”, which explores how the “presumption of guilt” acts in Russia .

The project is dedicated to the indictment in Russian justice. As examples of “presumption of guilt”, journalists cite eight stories about people from all over Russia. In particular, a man with disabilities is mentioned there, who was in prison for a “boxing” blow that he dealt with a hand that is unable to contract in a fist (he does not have two fingers).

A lawyer and former police officer Dmitry Dzhulay says that acquittals in Russia cannot be sent out, including by the fact that this may show that operatives, investigators and the prosecutor did their job poorly.

Journalists also tell what to do if a person has become a suspect in a crime whom he did not commit. First of all, they recommend not to admit the blame, no matter what transactions the investigators offer, and also not to hope that the “court will understand” and collect evidence on their own.
