Metro employees of St. Petersburg were fired due to protests

Eight employees of the St. Petersburg metro lost their jobs due to participation in protests, Fontanka reports . The Commission of the Ministry of Internal Affairs gave a negative conclusion on "the ability to perform work related to transport safety." The reason was the presence of citizens in the lists of the Center for Combating Extremism.

The publication clarifies that one of the dismissed “in search of justice” found out that he was dismissed due to an accidental detention at an unauthorized rally, which took place on the Marse Field in June 2017. The court found him guilty of violating the rules of the event and the disobedience of the police. The man paid a fine.

Two more metro employees, as it turned out, were fired due to participation in single pickets. One employee was in the "List of Extremists" for the fact that in the fall of 2018 he went to a single picket against pension reform. A similar situation occurred with his colleague, adjusted that the picket was dedicated to deceived equity holders.

Fontanka emphasizes that three employees who managed to find out the reason for the dismissal were able to return to work in the State Unitary Enterprise, since they managed to defend their position in the police. At the same time, five people were left without work. Two, clarifies the publication, are going to defend their innocence in court. The fate of three more is unknown.
