• The first user named Igor Ippolitov was the first to write about searches in the Moscow office of Nginx on Twitter (now the post). A person with such a name and surname has an account in LinkedIn, which indicates that he works as a developer in Nginx. The sources of The Bell confirmed this information. Ippolitov also said that the co -founders of Nginx Maxim Konovalov and Igor Sysoev were detained. There is still no official information about this.
• Nginx is one of the most successful IT companies of recent years created by Russian programmers. In 2002, the former Sisadmin Rambler Igor Sysheev created an open code web server, and in 2011 founded Nginx. Now it is the most popular web server of the world-about 33% of all sites operate on it. Among the company’s clients are Yandex, Mail.ru Group, Netflix, Dropbox and others. This year, the American F5 Networks bought Nginx for $ 670 million.

The essence of the conflict

• From the decision on the search of the search, which the Hippolytes posted on Twitter, it turned out that the criminal case was opened under an article on violation of copyright and related rights: in 2004, “unidentified persons” from among the employees of the Rambler of the Internet Holding in service times and, at the direction of the leadership, developed a “ENGINICS” program and placed it on servers Rambler, indicating that the rights to it belong to Igor Sysoev, the document says. Then the same persons “in order to realize criminal intent” illegally distributed the program on the Internet, and then registered with the BVI company “Enjniks Inc” and subsequently indicated that the rights to Nginx belong to her and Igor Sysoev. The damage caused by Rambler is estimated at 51.4 million rubles.
• Rambler himself confirmed that he considers Nginx a “official work”, and the right to make claims and claims transferred Lynwood Investments Cy Ltd. She, in turn, said that she would achieve the restoration of justice in all available ways within the framework of the legislation in any jurisdictions. The owners of Lynwood Investments are hidden behind Cyprus offshores, but RBC previously wrote that this company is associated with the co -owner of Rambler by billionaire Alexander Mamut. This year, the mamut sold more than 46% of Rambler's shares Sberbank. The businessman himself did not give any comments.
• NGINX had other investors before the sale of the Americans, for example, the Runa Capital venture fund - they will not comment on the situation there.

• But the Nginx case was commented by the former Executive Director of Rambler Igor Ashmanov. He hired Sysoev and claims that when Sysoev came to Rambler, the Nginx prototype already existed. Sysoev continued to work on him in his free time - this was not connected with his duties of Sisadmin. He also said that Runa Capital lawyers took up the case.
• Igor Sysersoev himself did not deny that he created Nginx while working in Rambler, but said that this issue was “thoroughly worked out”: “In Rambler, I worked as a system administrator, was developing in my free time, the product from the very beginning was produced under the BSD license as open software.”
• The lawyers that The Bell spoke with have believed that in this case you need to carefully study the employment contract and all the internal corporate regulations of Rambler at that time. If a conviction is pronounced in the case, it can be used in the future dispute with the buyer of NGINX, says Fedor Pokabun from Forward Legal.
