A mass picket against domestic violence was held in Moscow

In Moscow, a coordinated mass picket took place on Yauzskie Gate Square for the adoption of a law against domestic violence, reports Sots-fem Alternative.

The protesters demanded the adoption of a bill on the prevention of domestic violence, the acquittal of the Khachaturian sisters, and the introduction of mandatory retraining of police officers for “competent investigation of cases of domestic violence.”

According to the organizers, about 200 people came to the rally.

In November, the movement held a similar mass vigil to mark the International Day against Violence against Women. Then about 250 people came out to see him.

Previously, the government called the problem of domestic violence in Russia “exaggerated,” and women complaining to the ECHR were accused of trying to “undermine legal mechanisms.”
