
First Deputy General Director of PJSC LSR, ex-Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov will become the new vice-governor of St. Petersburg. This was reported by the North. Realiy was reported in the press service of the governor’s administration.
Alexander Beglov sent an appeal to the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg to coordinate the candidacy of Maxim Sokolov. As follows from the document, the former federal official will be responsible for transport infrastructure, investment policy and tourism.
Sokolov will take the place of Oleg Markov, who was relieved of the post of vice-governor of his own free will.
Zaks.ru clarifies that Sokolov has already worked in the city administration in 2004-2009. He first headed the Committee on Investments and Strategic Projects, then the Committee for Economic Development.
