Businessman Boris Rotenberg and his wife Karina, who are under American sanctions, still own real estate in the United States, but their houses are desolate. This is stated in a joint investigation of Novaya Gazeta and the organization "Transpenser Internet - Russia".

"Throwing his real estate in the United States due to sanctions, Boris Rotenberg and his wife cannot pay taxes and pay off utility bills, because bank accounts were also arrested. Due to unpaid accounts, property was announced abandoned. The doors of the American house were not cut off with cobwebs and grass in front of the house, because it is impossible to conclude agreements and receive money from persons under sanctions. Surely, after the investigation, there are volunteers who will grow grass and remove the web of Rotenberg, just in case, re -registered his real estate in Florida for one of the owners of the Key supplier of Gazprom. As stated in the publication, Rotenberg and his wife have at least three real estate objects in the Fulton district in Georgia. So, Karina Rotenberg (maiden surname - Gapchuk) belongs to a three -room Kondo in a fashionable residential complex in Atlanta. This housing was purchased back in 2001, before Gapchuk married Boris Rotenberg. The list of American real estate also includes a three -story building with an area of ​​about 2 thousand square meters, located in the rich suburb of Atlanta, near Lake Vinward at 2195 Blackheath Trace. The house, which is now registered in the name of Karina G (Apchuk) Fox, since 2005 belonged to the former wife of Karina - Benjamin Fox, and in 2009 he left it to her.

Finally, next to this mansion near Lake Vinvard is a house registered in the name of Boris Rotenberg. It was bought for about $ 3 million at the end of 2008.

As stated in the publication, at present, due to sanctions, real estate of the Rotenbergs is impressed by abandoned. In particular, at the end of 2018, the sheriff of John Sadler-Ml. On behalf of the District Court, Fulton traveled to the addresses of the Rotenbergs, but found there only a "web on the doors that did not open for months." The neighbors informed him that for about a year they had not seen anyone near one of the mansions. At the address of Karina Rotenberg in Atlanta, the sheriff met a concierge who said that "she had never heard and did not see anyone in this apartment."

Judging by the register of unclaimed property of the state of Georgia, Karina Gapchuk is wanted by insurance companies, tax authorities and the club cooperative Winward Community Services (the latter filed a lawsuit of the Fulton City Criminal Card of Gapchuk). At the same time, they, apparently, do not see the connection between American Karina Gapchuk and Russian citizen, the wife of the Russian businessman Karina Rotenberg.

The authors of the investigation note that only Karina Rotenberg, but Boris Rotenberg, despite the prohibition of the use of dollar accounts, somehow repaid his debt to the tax authorities, insurers and a cooperative. The representative of the Rotenbergs refused to give Novaya Gazeta a comment on this subject.

Because of this, in June 2014, the court rejected the statement of Gapchuk.

The Gapchuk house on the ocean shore for only 950 thousand dollars was bought by Adina Imanuilov, who, until the middle of this year, owned 20% of Gazprom Automation. At the same time, in February 2018, Yuri Gapchuk registered a new real estate company, indicating in the documents the address of the very house on the coast. Now it is again put up for sale, but for $ 3 million.
