The court in Penza terminated the case of a participant in a theatrical action about human rights

The Leninsky District Court of Penza has terminated the case against Roman Stotsky, who was accused under the article on the organization of an inconsistent public event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), for participating in a performance dedicated to violation of human rights. This was announced by the OVD-Info by Stotsky himself.

At the meeting, the activist himself represented his interests. According to him, he was able to convince the judge that the action did not fall under the category of public events. “I said that this is a theatrical production and there were no banners, posters and calls. That is, it does not fall under the classification of rallies, processions, pickets and so on, ”said Stotsky.

• The theatrical action, during which two people depicting law enforcement officers, and a person in clothes with the Logo of the United Russia party symbolically shot and buried “freedom of assembly”, “freedom of personality” and “freedom of speech”, was held on December 12 of the city administration. The next day, the police detained Roman Stotsky. Two more activists were summoned to the police department to give explanations.
