"Mothers against political repression" went with pickets to the venue of Putin's press conference (photo)

Participants in the Mother of Mother against Political Repressions came out with single pickets to the Center for International Trade in Moscow, where the annual press conference of President Vladimir Putin will be held today. This was reported by Novaya Gazeta Chairman of the Public Committee of Freedom Shestun, Vlad Rusin.

The posters with whom they went to pickets are addressed to journalists. There are inscriptions on them: “Ask the president: do he know that his mother on a hunger strike, trying to achieve a dialogue with him!”, “Russia kills political prisoners. Journalists, why are you silent?” and others.

“Tell the president - we just want a dialogue,” Vlad Rusin told the Echo of Moscow . Participants in the action expect that journalists accredited to a press conference will ask a question to the president.

Some participants in the movement hold a hunger strike "in the hope that they will be heard and start with them the dialogue they achieve, and pay attention to the affairs of their children and relatives." The hunger strike was previously announced by the Rusin herself, as well as the mother of the defendant of the “New Greatness” of Anna Pavlikova Julia Vinogradova, and Natalya Konon, whose son Daniil was a defendant in “Moscow business”.

Putin’s annual press conference will begin at 12:00. About 2 tyyysh representatives of the press were accredited on it. The Department of Accreditation and Briefing of the Press Service and Information Department asked journalists not to use large posters during it, as they interfere with the work of photographers and operators.

On the eve of the Tver, the District Court of Moscow, the mother of the defendant in the case of the "Network"* Dmitry Pchelintsev for a single picket on the Kremlin embankment was fined for 10 thousand rubles. This was reported by "7x7" by Svetlana Pchelintseva herself and her lawyer Oksana Markeeva.

Svetlana Pchelintseva was one of the four detainees on December 7 for single pickets near the Kremlin walls. They held in their hands posters with the inscription "Freedom to our children!" Police officers delivered protesters to the China-Gorod police department. There they made protocols for violation of part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses ("Rules for the Picket"). Pchelintseva was not present in the Tver court: she works as a cardiologist in one of the Moscow hospitals and took patients during the court session.

The three other detainees on the pickets on December 7 were Julia Pavlikova, the mother of the defendant in the case of the Network* in Penza Tatyana Chernova and the father of the accused of trying to attack the contractor from Tambov Mikhail Metlin. Court meetings on administrative cases have not yet taken place against them.

In early November, relatives of the defendants in political affairs combined into motion "Mother against political repressions." The movement has its own site, communities in Telegram and Facebook, a logo (a green sprout breaking through the twig of a prison lattice) and a symbol of solidarity - a white handkerchief in black peas.

On November 19, parents took collective letters to the presidential administration. In them, they demanded honestly and incredibly investigating affairs with the participation of their children. The administration transferred letters to the Investigative Committee.

On December 7, about 60 people from the regions took part in the first congress of "mothers" on December 7. The pickets of activists near the Kremlin on the day of the congress ended in detention. On December 9, the mothers of Anna Pavlikova and Daniil Konon announced a hunger strike with the demand of a fair trial of political prisoners. The next day, the chairman of the Public Committee "Freedom to Shestun" Vlad Rusin joined the hunger strike. The hunger strike continues to this day.

The first such organization was created by the parents of the defendants in the case of the "Network"* - "parent network" appeared in the spring of 2018. Relatives openly talked about the torture of their children. They held several protests - among them the action “For your and our children!”, Pickets for the two years of the first arrests of the “Network” case* and others.
