Mustafa Vyshegurov, a participant in the March rally in Magas, accused of violence against a representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code), went on a hunger strike in a pre-trial detention center, protesting against the conditions of detention. “I am a religious person, I don’t shave off my beard on principle. I was not shown a document containing this requirement. Another person is sitting with me - Adam Badiev. He also refused to shave his beard. He was threatened that they would put him on kitsch [in a punishment cell],” the “Caucasian Knot” reports the words of the activist.
In addition, according to Vyshegurov, detainees in pre-trial detention centers are not provided with bed linen and blankets, cleaning products, and the cells are not heated.
Earlier, reported to Zubeir Khamkhoev, a participant in the rally in Magas, the "Caucasian Knot" about the demand of the administration of the pre-trial detention center to shave off his beard. He said that he was also threatened with a punishment cell.
