Maxim Shabanov, a resident of the Ordynsky district, complained about the lack of medicines, the smell of dampness and mold in the Novosibirsk Regional Clinical Hospital. He told Taiga.info that his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter contracted an intestinal infection, and the parents who are there with their children are forced to clean the toilets themselves.
The regional hospital said that the legal representatives of the girl did not appeal to them with complaints. The editors cite the received comment of the institution with insignificant reductions:
“The information presented in the publication does not correspond to reality, since, in accordance with the requirements of SanPiN <…>, the buildings of the Novosibirsk Regional Hospital are equipped with natural ventilation systems.
In order to ensure the safety of minor patients, handles for opening windows are located at the nurse's station of the department and are issued upon request. In addition, <…> ventilation of the wards, with the consent of the parents, is carried out at least 4 times a day.
The staff of the offices is fully staffed by office cleaners, cleanings are carried out regularly according to the schedule. Parents hospitalized to care for children are not involved in cleaning.
Medicines are purchased in accordance with the territorial program of state guarantees of free provision of medical care to citizens, purchases are carried out regularly, there is no shortage of medicines in the regional hospital.
A centralized warehouse has been organized for the storage of outerwear of patients, clothes are handed over by patients and accompanying persons for storage in the admission department of the hospital. Patient Shabanova and her mother were admitted to the regional hospital from GBUZ NSO "Ordynskaya CRH" in a planned manner through the OKP without outerwear.
The incubation period of the intestinal infection ranges from one day to seven days, thus, Shabanova's infection occurred before hospitalization at the GNOCH.
The child was in the GBUZ NSO "SNOCH" on December 13-16, 2019 after the infection was detected, he was urgently transferred to the GBUZ NSO "Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 3". There were no other transfers of patients with infectious diseases or suspicion of them from the department in which Shabanova was located to other medical institutions.
In addition, the ambulance station commented on the words of a man who contacted the editorial office that his daughter and wife were driven “for about two hours” on a “broken gazelle” and “covered with disposable gowns”:
“The ambulance that transported the minor patient Shabanova, accompanied by her mother, from the State Regional Clinical Hospital to the Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 3 is technically sound, the interior heater is in working order. The transport time was 55 minutes. Clothes are not included in the standard equipment of ambulances. The blanket is available only in the set for newborns. Patient Shabanova did not have winter clothes with her at the time of the beginning of the transportation. A blanket, shoes and clothes for the patient and her mother were provided by employees of the State Regional Clinical Hospital.
Finally, the Orda Central District Hospital also provided a comment. As Maxim Shabanov said, the daughter was in the institution for a week, but the doctors “put off the ailments for SARS” and did not make the correct diagnosis. He also talked about the lack of "sodium tetraborate for the treatment of thrush":
“On December 5, 2019, at 18:25, the child’s mother filed an informed refusal of inpatient treatment in the pediatric department and left the hospital. Information about the discharge of the child before the completion of the course of inpatient treatment at the initiative of the parent was transferred by the doctor on duty to the police department of the Ordynsky district.
During treatment, there were no indications for prescribing prednisolone and sodium tetraborate to the child. Sodium tetraborate is currently not used for the treatment of inpatients, it is not included in the list of vital drugs of the TPGG (vital medicines of the territorial program of state guarantees - approx. Taygi. Info), it is not included in the formulary of medicines of the GBUZ NSO "Ordynskaya CRH".
We also inform you that the Orda Central District Hospital has a sufficient supply of medicines, including methylprednisolone. There is no shortage of medicines .”**
