Russia lost the first serial Su-57

The fifth-generation fighter, which broke today in the Khabarovsk Territory during a test flight, was the first serial Su-57, Interfax said. The first messages said that it was an experienced T-50 that conducted the test of the engine of the second stage.

The crashed Su-57 should have been handed over to the military before the end of the year. The price of such a machine exceeds 2 billion rubles.

The pilot successfully catapulted and did not receive serious injuries. The preliminary cause of the accident is the refusal of the management system, or rather - a failure to control the tail, TASS reported with reference to informed sources. Such a malfunction inevitably entails the crash of the aircraft, so the system is reversed many times (3-4 times). The main question in this case is why this did not help.

Since the plane was listed behind the plant, the investigation will be conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, not the Ministry of Defense. She will be headed by Deputy Minister Oleg Bocharov.

In June 2019, a firm contract was signed for the supply of the Russian Aerospace Forces of 76 Su-57 fighters. The contract is estimated at 150 billion rubles. The first aircraft are equipped with Al-41F1 engines (product 117) of the “first stage”. The engine of the “second stage” (product 129) is testing, but only with this Su-57 engine will reach the specified characteristics.

India shows the purchase of the Su-57. It was recently declared by Turkey, which, due to the purchase of Russian S-400 complexes, is not given by the Fifth generation F-35 already paid fighters.
