The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation warned of a global threat of terrorist attacks with the help of drones

Threats related to the use of drones for terrorist purposes can in the near future increase not only in Syria, but also on the territory of any other state, in an interview with the Red Star newspaper, the head of the military air defense of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Alexander Leonov. He noted that the armed forces and illegal armed groups of foreign states are actively using unmanned aviation in their actions.

"The work on improving drones and methods of their use indicate that in the near future threats associated with the use of drones for terrorist purposes can increase not only in Syria, but also in any other country," Leonov said. He noted that in connection with this, special attention should be paid to the organization of counteracting drones, improving the ways of their detection and destruction.

On the evening of December 22, militants tried to attack the Russian Khmeimim air base using unmanned aerial vehicles that were shot down by air defense systems. In September, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov, demonstrated other devices shot down on the approach to the air base. According to him, the manufacturers of drones with the external non -consumption of this "products" use quite complex technical solutions that require special education and are improved over time. At the same time, with the assembly of these devices, terrorists are helped from the outside.

On December 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law allowing power structures (FSB, FSO, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the SVR and the Russian Guard) to suppress the flight of drunks-replacements through the control panels or destroy them . Department heads will make decisions. It is noted that the law provides protection of citizens during concerts, football matches, as well as transport objects (seaports, stations) and information infrastructure. It also protects critical objects, including nuclear power plants and chemical enterprises.

In addition, the law allows employees of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) of Russia to knock down the deer drivers flying over colonies, pre-trial detention centers and surrounding territories. Also, spiles of drones can suppress during anti -terrorist measures to protect state -owned enterprises and on military secret objects.
