Two former FSB Alpha special forces fighters were arrested on charges of murder
Law enforcement agencies detained three people in connection with the murders in Moscow in 2008 and 2012. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, in 2008, the defendants killed a businessman and his driver. In 2012, they attacked a resident of Moscow, who, according to their information, had a large amount of money with him. The man received injuries from which he died at the scene.
An Interfax source said that two of the three defendants were members of the security services in the past. According to a RIA Novosti source, they served in the special forces of the FSB "Alpha". The interlocutor of the agency stressed that they began to engage in criminal activities after their dismissal.
On December 26, the Presnensky Court of Moscow placed three defendants in the case into custody, reports Interfax . The press service of the court gave the agency the names of the accused - Voskresensky, Chukaev and Chukanov.
As part of the investigation of the criminal case, investigators conducted more than 15 searches at the place of residence of the accused in Moscow and two other constituent entities of the Russian Federation, during which a large number of military firearms and explosives were found and seized.
