RTS index reached a six -year maximum

The New Year's rally on the Russian market continues: the RTS index reached a six -year maximum, exceeding the mark of 1550 points. For today (by 14.20 Moscow time) the index increased by 1.08%.

The last time this value was observed in March 2013.

The current value of the index is still much lower than the historical maximum, which was observed in May 2008 - then the index grew to 2459 points.
