In Nizhny Novgorod, the police detained the activist Maxim Alibaev during a single picket with a poster with the results of the year, OVD-info reports with reference to the chairman of the local branch of Yabloko Oleg Rodina.
On the poster, the activist listed people who were persecuted in 2019. For example, he mentioned the cases against the journalist-official Ivan Golunov and the former member of the “Open Roccia” Anastasia Shevchenko, the abduction of the FBK employee Ruslan Shavedinova and the arrests of promoters against the uncertainty candidates for deputies for elections to the Moscow City Duma.

According to his homeland, the police asked the picket to show the documents, but did not explain on what grounds he should do this. Because of what exactly the man was detained, is not specified.
Alibaeva was taken to the district point of police No. 3 of the Nizhny Novgorod district. He is charged with disobedience to the legal request of the policeman (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Later, the human rights project said that Alibaev was released without a protocol.
