Svetlana Gannushkina: In modern Russia, an atmosphere of fear reigns

Svetlana Gannushkina, chairman of the Civil Proposal Committee, believes that over the past two decades in Russia, state institutions and an independent judicial system have been completely destroyed. The country has an atmosphere of fear in the country, the Russian human rights activist noted in an interview with DPA in connection with the twentieth anniversary of Vladimir Putin’s giving way to the President of Russia.

In early November, by the decision of the Supreme Court of Russia, the human rights movement "For Human Rights", founded by Leo Ponomaryov, was liquidated. In October, the composition of the Presidential Council for Human Rights was replaced. Valery Fadeev, who had previously headed the Russian Chamber of Russia, worked as the head of the Russian Federation, worked as leading in Channel One and was a Putin’s authorized person in the 2012 presidential election.

Adversities of the Putin system "saw the bitches on which they are sitting," says Gannushkina. “They are not least afraid to lose power, so politics is becoming more and more irrational,” the human rights activist said in an interview with DPA.

At the same time, according to Gannushkina, people today are increasingly ready to defend their rights and go out. Earlier, Gannushkina has already expressed the opinion that summer protests in Moscow for honest elections - a signal that Russian society is leaving the stagnation and that "changes are coming."
