Iran has announced a complete withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear deal between Iranian authorities and six mediating countries, the Associated Press reports.
Iranian state television reported that Iran would no longer follow any restrictions set under the nuclear deal.
The decision was made after Iranian General Qasem Soleimani was killed in Baghdad on the orders of US President Donald Trump.
Iran had previously been gradually abandoning the nuclear deal after the United States unilaterally withdrew from the accord in May 2018. Other signatories to the agreement had insisted on preserving it.
